Abulia
2. A decrease in movement, speech, thought, and emotional reactions. Abulia commonly results from damage to both the right and left frontal lobes of the brain. The frontal lobes are large areas of brain tissue located in the front part of the brain.
Abulia is also written as aboulia. Abulia comes from the Greek word "a" meaning "not," and the Greek word "boule" meaning "will." Put the words together and you get "not will."
1. A loss or impairment in the ability to perform voluntary actions, show initiative, or make decisions.
