3. Relating to, or being part of immunity or the immune response that is influenced mostly by cells in the body (known as T cells) that fight infection. Immunity is when the body cannot be affected by a certain disease or condition. The immune response is when certain cells of the body try to defend it from harmful substances. Cellular comes from the Latin word "cella" meaning "storeroom."
1. Relating to, made from, or originating from cells. A cell is the smallest, most basic unit of life, that is capable of existing by itself. Cells carry out the chemical processes that are necessary for life to exist.
