Dispense
To prepare and give out medicine and other necessities to the sick, such as when a pharmacist fills a medical prescription. Dispense comes from the Latin word “dis” meaning “separation,” and the Latin word “pensare” meaning “to weigh.” Put the words together and you have “separation to weigh.”
