Ichoroid is a term used to describe a thin, pus-like substance that is released from the body. Pus is a yellow or green creamy substance sometimes found at the site of infections. Ichoroid comes from the Greek word "ichor" meaning "serum," and the Greek word "eidos" meaning "resemblance." Put the two words together and you have "resembling serum." Serum is any clear, watery fluid that has been separated from its more solid parts.
