Pachycephalic means pertaining to or characterized by pachycephaly, which is an abnormal thickness of the skull. Pachycephalic is also written as pachycephalous. Pachycephalic comes from the Greek word "pachys" meaning "thick," the Greek word "kephale" meaning "head," and the Greek word "ikos" meaning "pertaining to." Put the words together and you have "pertaining to (a) thick head."
