Renocutaneous means relating to the kidneys and skin. The kidneys are two organs located on each side of the spine, behind the stomach. The kidneys filter (remove) wastes from the blood. Renocutaneous comes from the Latin word “ren” meaning “kidney,” the Greek word “megas” meaning “large,” and the Latin word “cutis” meaning “skin.” Put the words together and you get “kidney (and) skin.”.
