Renogastric means relating to the kidneys and stomach. The kidneys are two organs located on each side of the spine, behind the stomach. The kidneys filter (remove) wastes from the blood. Renogastric comes from the Latin word “ren” meaning “kidney,” and the Latin word “gaster” meaning “stomach.” Put the words together and you get “kidney (and) stomach.”
